How do we identify the best churches? We assume that the best churches glorify and enjoy our Lord by reflecting Christ's covenantal character through the lives of church members and people influenced by the church. We hope that this site will help identify the church communities that most effectively inspire and equip members to reflect Christ's character.
Would you please help us identify quotations from books and web sites of churches that best articulate what a Christ-centered church should be? As we identify the best statements of purpose and beliefs, we will post them at this site. Also, would you help us identify churches that best fulfill their Christ-centered statements of purpose and beliefs? We want to update this site to list programs and practices of churches that most honor Christ's teachings about the role of His church.
Our hope is that we can establish clear standards for what the church should be and then identify the churches that best uphold these standards. In much the same way that we turn to U.S. News and World Report and numerous other sources to see rankings of the best colleges and graduate schools, we hope that people will turn to this site to identify the best churches.
